With a background spanning engineering, theatrical design, and live event production, Adam McCarthy leads the technical, media, and creative direction services of BlackOak Technical Productions, the technical arm of the Kehoe Designs family. A Detroit native, Adam began his career in middle school as an audio technician before earning his degree in Scenic and Lighting Design from the University of Michigan. Since joining Kehoe Designs in 2012, he has played a central role in shaping and evolving its technical capabilities, ultimately bringing BlackOak Technical Productions to life as a standalone brand in 2018 under the guidance of Tom Kehoe. Adam is known for balancing a refined aesthetic sensibility with a deep understanding of how to create immersive, high-impact experiences that thrill guests from the moment the lights come up.
