This stunning soiree was planned and produced in just a year! Brides Moira & Lauren wanted to create a destination wedding feel without leaving Chicago. And that is just what the brides did. The ambiance was a garden-inspired theme — paired with a summer-chic dress code for their brunch reception wedding that hosted 240 loved ones.
KEHOE DESIGNS‘ Senior Designer, Rene Price, worked with the wedding planner, Michelle Dupretti, to realize the custom-themed destination-like wedding. The celebration was held at The Dalcy, in the historic Fulton Market District of Chicago. The vision captured a magical setting — ethereal, relaxed, romantic. It was all about simple, elegant, and unexpected details that reflected the couple’s personalized styles.
Enchanted Garden-Inspired Ambience
Wanting a mix of soft and pretty with organic, textural accents — Rene used peonies, dahlias, ranunculus, blushing bride protea, and roses to transport guests to a secret garden in full bloom. Succulents, vines, and various greenery helped anchor the venue and keep it grounded in the wedding theme. Gorgeous ceiling treatments of greenery, wisteria, and chandeliers made The Dalcy feel enclosed, intimate, and extremely special.
A Touch of Whimsy For This Destination Wedding Vibe in Chicago
Wooden décor elements, a custom doughnut wall for the pre-ceremony cocktail hour, styled with live garden statues that featured lush foliage and cascading plantscapes that fully captured the theme of the beautiful brunch soiree. To the ceremony, a winding path of mixed plants and trees from Floral Exhibits kept the dreamy affair light-hearted — everything Moira & Lauren needed to make their Chicago wedding just as unique as a destination wedding to celebrate their nuptials.
