For the Kehoe Designs team, part of the season’s magic is bringing holiday splendor to Chicago’s finest hotels and festive flair to the Windy City LIVE studios. It is in this spirit of merriment and “signature sparkle” that we share with you a few Kehoe Designs winter wonderlands, offering a warm and cozy welcome to the guests (and audience) of our spectacular city.
Holiday Glam at the Peninsula Hotel
The world class Peninsula Hotel Chicago does not disappoint when it comes to their magnificent display of holiday glamour. From the gleaming silver and golds that frame their stately lion-studded entrance to a hallway lavishly lined with striking poinsettia and ornate evergreens, the excitement builds as guests make their way to the hotel’s grand lobby. Within this immense dining space, the eyes are immediately captivated by a stunning twenty-four foot Christmas tree in quintessential holiday colors. Oversized wreath trios dress the lobby’s floor-to-ceiling windows with an additional dose of classic holiday glitz.

Fireside at the Fairmont
Inspired by the amber and chocolate hues of Chicago’s Fairmont Hotel, the grand staircase is decked in an array of glittering gold and coco brown ornaments. In addition to a striking pair of twelve foot tall trees, an impressive 100 feet of garlands climb the staircase rails and also accent the stylish display case of the celebrated Eno Wine Room. Warm gold and amber hues mingle amongst the brilliant holiday glow, reminding guests of the warm, cozy feel of cuddling up next to the fireplace this time of year.
White Christmas at the Waldorf
A radiant glow of white lights greet guests as they arrive onto Waldorf Astoria Chicago’s famed cobblestone courtyard. A twenty foot evergreen stands regally, graced with the brilliance of over 11,000 white lights. The entrance archway and window ledges are treated with touches of glowing garland while miniature evergreens add simple holiday elegance to either side of the hotel’s doors. Inside the immaculate snow white lobby, a second tree and swags of garlands are generously studded with emerald green and pearl-colored holiday balls, echoing the pureness and beauty of a white Christmas.
High Style in the Windy City
The studios of Chicago’s beloved morning team, Windy City LIVE, receives a Kehoe Designs holiday make-over. Taking a more abstract approach to our signature sparkle, the main stage is adorned with a mini forest of red hot feather trees. In front, bright red poinsettias are set amongst a design of gilded wire sculptures. For the secondary stage, a collection of stacked floral and wire orbs offer a creative twist to traditional “christmas tree” decor.
